CALENDAR UPDATE
HOT! 12 April, Thursday – 1900 – Free USAFA Band Concert at Lied Center, Kansas University
This is the last call for folks interested in free tickets to the USAF Academy Band concert at the Kansas University Lied Center, at 7 pm on Thursday, 12 April. We have been given a limited number of very good seats for the early birds in our three associations, Parents Club, and those who support our events. Tickets are free but are recommended. Those signing up by RSVP to me (to include #tickets, name, association if a member, and car pool interest) by Friday, 5 April will be given priority tickets with special seating to the extent of the number we have been given. Late comers may still attend the concert but will not have reserved seats. To make this a fun event, we car pooling for an early dinner in downtown Lawrence (on Massachusetts St.) at the Free State Brewery, 636 Massachusetts, Lawrence. If you are interested in this pre-concert gathering, make a note on your RSVP to me and state whether you are volunteering to drive or would prefer a ride. For those joining us, we will meet at the north side of Penny’s in the Oak Park Shopping Mall (located on the West end of the mall) so as to leave by 1600 (4pm) to avoid traffic. Otherwise, we will see you at Free State Brewery or the concert. All tickets will be picked up at the Lied Center box office. Again, RSVP to me with name, # tickets, association if a member, interest in going to early dinner, and whether you will provide a car or want a ride.
Note: For those who have already signed up to date and are meeting us in Lawrence for dinner, we will meet at Free State Brewery at 1730. For those who want to carpool from Overland Park, please contact me.
