Kansas City Alumni here is a civic project we can get behind. Our own K.C. chapter Treasurer, CDR Jack Rush USNA ’73 is the Executive Director of the American Fallen Warrior Memorial Foundation. I will be there and hope to see you there too wearing Navy/Marine Corps gear. Bob Culler ’74 K.C. Chapter President__________________________________________________________________Flag Planting for our Memorial Day 8000 flag display will commence at 0900 24 May 2018 at the Schlitterbahn parking lot, in Kansas City, KS, weather permitting. If it is raining that morning we might opt for afternoon or morning of the 25th. I know that Thursday works better for Home Depot Volunteers so we will try to get as much done Thursday as possible. A lot of schools are still in session on the 24th so I have not been able to rally many youth this year. If you know of any youth groups that might be available please share. Last year we had about 35 volunteers and knocked it out in about 3 and a half hours.Mike and I will be out on the 23rd laying out the lines and grids to help things go smoothly on the 24th and could probable use one more volunteer that day if you have time or know someone who does have them reach-out to me.Thanks, In advance for your support.Plan is to remove the flags and store salvageable flags on the 29th in the morning. Please have volunteers indicate if they would be available one or both events. Thanks,
Jack Rush USNA ’73
